For more than three decades, Queenscourt Hospice has been providing essential services to the West Lancashire, Southport and Formby area from a purpose built, ten bed centre in Kew, Southport.
Running costs of seven million pounds per annum are sourced mainly through public donation but by 2026 the charity was more than £2m in debt.
Given the dire financial situation and capacity halved to only five active beds, Queenscourt was in danger of closure so a 'Save Queenscourt Services' campaign was launched. The Winter Warmer event is our opportunity to support the hospice initiatives.

Currently in the planning stage, Winter Warmer will be an evening event with a 6:00pm start at Poulton Court, Wennington Rd, Southport on Thursday 12th November. Provisional ticket pricewill be £10 in advance (with a supplement for on the door if capacity remains) with opportunities through the event to top up donations.

Our concept is for an event filled with variety and something for everyone combining great food, top line musical entertainment and fun contests, all with a target of raising donations for the hospice.
Everyone involved with the event from organisers and singer to companies providing top line prizes are giving of their time, skills and products freely so that every penny raised can be donated to Queenscourt.
Although yet to be finalised, the possible concept for this event includes:
• Hot and tasty hotpot supper on arrival
• Vegetarian option
• Top line singer
• Prize Bingo with BIG prizes
• Prize Quiz

Currently we are working with our artistes, suppliers and sponsors to confirm dateline and important concept issues within the envisaged format of the event and also to identify the most suitable income streams to maximise donation to Queenscourt. We will confirm final format and open booking mid-September.
